This tribute page has been created in honour of my mother, Maryanne Polidano. Please consider donating to PanKind in her memory. My mum was first diagnosed late 2019 and wasn't given the best prognosis; however, her strength, positive mindset, and selflessness made her determined to fight through 3 years of treatment and various trials. Even when trials weren't successful for Mum, she was empowered by the fact that her plight would help the treatment of other people living with cancer. This highlighted Mum's character, that in her misfortune, she was still hopeful for the patients she would be helping.
At the age of 13, I lost my Mum on the 21st of October 2022, and her spirit inspires me to take action to prevent other children from experiencing the heartbreak of losing a parent.
