Please support my challenge to fight pancreatic cancer and save lives.

Pancreatic cancer has unfortunately hit pretty close to home for me. I lost my Uncle to the disease, and one of my good mates and fellow firefighters has now been fighting pancreatic cancer for almost 12 months.

For those who don’t know much about it, around 4,800 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year and sadly only around 14% will survive 5 years after diagnosis.

So I’ve decided to use my journey from ACL reconstruction to my first full Ironman to try and raise some money and awareness along the way.

On June 13th 2027, less than 12 months after ACL and meniscus surgery, I’ll be taking on Ironman Cairns – a 3.8km swim, 180km bike and 42.2km run.

If I’m going to put myself through 226km, I may as well try and do some good with it.

Any donation, big or small, would be massively appreciated.

Matt
