Experience Broken Hill Group supporting PanKind 💜
Like so many families and workplaces across Australia, cancer has touched ours.
In February 2025, Dave McIvor, one of the owners of the Experience Broken Hill Group, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Since then, our family and team have seen firsthand just how quickly a diagnosis can change life, not only for the person diagnosed, but for their family, friends, workmates and wider community.
And the reality is, it can happen to any of us.
It could be someone in your family, a mate you work alongside every day, a neighbour, or someone you meet while travelling around Australia.
Right now, 75 Australians die from pancreatic cancer every week, and 12 people are diagnosed every day. They’re confronting numbers, and as a family business, we want to do our small part to help change them.
That’s why the Experience Broken Hill Group is proudly raising funds for PanKind, The Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
Through our businesses, we’re lucky to welcome people from all over Australia and the world to Broken Hill. We meet families on holidays, travellers exploring the outback, workers spending time away from home, and plenty of people who arrive as guests and leave as friends.
Every one of those people has a family, a workplace and a community around them. That’s what makes supporting better outcomes for pancreatic cancer so important to us.
The funds we raise will help support medical research and much-needed patient support programs, bringing hope to people and families impacted by pancreatic cancer.
