In Loving Memory Of

Sally Atkin (née Kennedy)

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die

Please make a donation in loving memory of Sally Atkin (née Kennedy)

We lost our beloved Sally — daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend — decades before we should have in the early hours of Monday, 25 May 2026, after a short and difficult battle with pancreatic cancer.

It is a cruel illness and one of the deadliest types of cancer, with life expectancy usually very short following diagnosis.

Sally did not respond well to treatment and suffered greatly from pain while battling to stay with us as long as she could, and it was absolutely devastating for us all to watch.

It is our hope that no other family must endure what we have. Research is making progress — including the recent development of a novel pill that has helped people with advanced pancreatic cancer live longer with fewer severe side effects:

So in lieu of flowers or anything else for her funeral service this Friday, 5 June 2026, our family is asking that donations be made to the Pankind Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation in honour of Sally, so that progress can be made against this dreadful disease, and other families might be spared some of the suffering ours has endured.

On behalf of her family, her loving son,

Daniel
