Kar Siew Ch’ng or Mum or Ahma had an incredible life for 89 years. Born in Penang, Malaysia she came to Melbourne at the young age of 15. School, university, marriage, family, PhD, friendships, travel, food and grandchildren all played very important roles in her life.
She was feisty and loyal, defiant and a ground breaker.
Her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer did not deter her zest for life. She still loved chatting to her six grandchildren and saying ” wo ai ni.” “I love you”
We love you Mum. We will miss you.
