After losing our Mum, just 3.5 weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, we are fundraising in her memory, to support PanKind, an organisation working hard each day to increase survival rates and quality of life for those impacted by pancreatic cancer.

Mum was an active, and otherwise very healthy 72 year old, with so much left to live for.  After her diagnosis she wanted only to live long enough for her youngest grandchild to be old enough to remember her, but she survived just 27 days.  Longer survival times, and improved pain management would have made all the difference to our family.  

Over 3,900 Australians are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer every year and only 10.7% will live beyond 5 years. The disease receives little or no government funding so please consider making a donation, however modest, so that other families do not need to lose their mums, dads, brothers, sisters, and children to this awful cancer.
