In Loving Memory Of

Chris Christakakis

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die

Please make a donation in memory of someone very special.

In September 2023, our world changed when our beautiful dad, Chris Christakakis, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Sadly, just four months later, in January 2024, we lost him to this devastating disease. He passed away on my sister's birthday, a day that will forever hold a different meaning for our family.

I watched a man who had always been so strong deteriorate before my eyes. A man who once seemed capable of anything eventually reached a point where, on his final day, he couldn't even walk to his own bed.

My brothers, my sister, my mum and I did everything we could to care for Dad and be by his side throughout his illness. We wanted him to know he was surrounded by love until the very end.

Tragically, our family suffered another devastating loss when we said goodbye to our beautiful mum in October 2024.

Losing both parents within such a short period has left a hole in our lives that words could never fully describe.

People often say that time makes the pain easier, but the truth is, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about them or miss them both.

I've decided to create this fundraising tribute in Dad's memory, with the hope of raising money for pancreatic cancer research.

Pancreatic cancer takes far too many lives, often leaving families with very little time to prepare for the loss of someone they love.

If raising money can contribute towards better research, earlier detection and improved treatments, then perhaps other families might be spared some of the heartbreak ours has experienced.

This is for you, Dad.

We miss you. We love you. And we will carry you with us every single day.

Forever in our hearts.

Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer. Our mission is to triple survival rates by 2030 and significantly improve the quality of life for those impacted. Making progress a reality through groundbreaking research, compassionate support, and tireless advocacy.
