CICA is proud to be supporting Pankind, Pancreatic Cancer Australia

Right now, 78 Australians will die from pancreatic cancer every week, and 12 people will be diagnosed every day. These are devastating statistics that CICA is determined to help improve.

This year's NSW/ACT Regional Meeting Dinner is proudly supporting Pankind, Australia's only charity solely dedicated to improving outcomes for people impacted by pancreatic cancer.   They have a bold mission to triple survival rates by 2030 and significantly improve quality of life for people affected by the disease.

Pancreatic cancer is one of Australia's toughest cancers.  Early signs and symptoms of the disease are vague and non descript meaning that it is often diagnosed late, when the disease has spread.  By this time, treatment options are limited and surgery, the only curative treatment available is only available for a small number of patients.

Pankind has invested over $20 million into groundbreaking research projects aimed at identifying new ways to detect the disease earlier and better treatments for patients affected.  They also invest in vital support programs which help patients and their families navigate a complex and overwhelming diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Please give generously to support this important cause.
