In memory of Julie Bahn

In Loving Memory Of

Julie Bahn

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die

Please make a donation in memory of someone very special.

Few people will be lucky enough to go through life without being touched in some way by Cancer.  Early detection is paramount.  Julie's family and friends would like to share her story with you, in the hope that her experience leads to greater community awareness.  A special thankyou to the ladies of the Woodvale Crochet Group, family and friends for their kindness and support in sharing my story.

Julie was a beautiful person who loved the West Coast Eagles and had a spot on "bullshit" meter.  She was very loyal.  If you were in her friendship circle you knew she would always have your back.  She was a private person and her family meant everything to her.   If Julie was your friend you knew you would never be alone.  She never truly appreciated how well liked she was, but she will be missed by so many. Never forget to tell your friends how much they mean to you.

Julie’s symptoms first started in April 2021. It took a long time and many medical appointments to uncover what was causing the pain that radiated from her upper tummy area through to the back.

Eventually in January 2022, Julie was diagnosed with a mass on her pancreas. Her treatment journey was long and arduous with multiple treatments that had challenging side effects.

In November 2022, Julie's daughter and partner surprised her by announcing they were pregnant with baby due on 1st July 2023.  Julie then set her mind to being there to hold her 1st grandchild,  which she did.

On the 8th June, Lenny was born over 3 weeks early and Julie held him for the first time on the 9th June. Her next target was Lenny’s first Christmas which she also achieved, and made great memories.

Julie's determination and fight plus a wonderful team of Medical Professionals enabled her to reach 27 months instead of the predicted 12 months before she decided she’d had enough and went out on her own terms.  By donating in Julie's memory, you’re helping to fund life-changing research and support for Australians impacted by pancreatic cancer.

Your gift supports Pankind, as they work to improve survival and provide care for patients and their loved ones - now and into the future.

Thank you for your support
