A Touch of Purple is a campaign that was initiated by a devoted group of purple angels who lost their loved one, Kim Borg on 4th August 2024 to pancreatic cancer.
Kim's bravery, courage and determination to survive was nothing short of inspirational. Tragically like many others, Kim succumbed to this devastating disease 22 months post diagnosis.
Kim's legacy will continue to live though A Touch of Purple, and fundraising events that take place in her honour. All funds raised will go to Pankind, Pancreatic Cancer Australia where they will be channelled into cutting edge pancreatic cancer research that aims to improve patient survival rates and quality of life.
Kim's bubbly personality and big smile radiated across any room she was in. Irrespective of the challenges she encountered throughout her cancer journey, Kim's positive attitude continued to uplift the people that surrounded her. With a heart of gold, Kim would help others at the drop of a hat.
Kim's positive outlook was powerful which is why Team Kim has united to raise critical funds to support research for early detection of pancreatic cancer. Team Kim is on a mission and we are working exclusively with Pankind to achieve this. Together we are striving to make a significant difference and give hope to those affected.
A Touch of Purple is dedicated to raising awareness and forming affiliations with like-minded and driven individuals and organisations that are as passionate as we are about creating hope, improving outcomes and driving up survival rates.
