Caravan Industry Uniting to Fund Early Detection Research

By Mel Tully

The Caravan Industry is coming together to change the future of pancreatic cancer

Uniting to fund critical early detection research through Pankind

In March 2025, respected Caravan industry leader Dave McIvor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Dave was fortunate. His cancer was discovered early while he was seeing his doctor for something unrelated. That early diagnosis meant he could undergo surgery and treatment — and today he is in remission.

Most people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer are not that lucky. The disease is often discovered too late, when treatment options are limited.

Early detection can change that. When pancreatic cancer is found early, survival rates can be up to 14 times higher.

That’s why the Caravan Industry Association of Australia is supporting Pankind to fund vital research focused on earlier detection and better treatment options.

Your tax deductible donation will help accelerate research that could give more people the same chance Dave had.

Together, the Caravan Industry can help detect pancreatic cancer earlier and improve survival.
